Man Injured in Gun Cleaning Accident

A 22-year-old man shot himself in the upper leg while cleaning his gun at a residence in Tinley Park, Illinois. Responding officers applied a tourniquet to the man’s wound before he was taken to the hospital for surgery. He is in stable condition and is expected to recover.
