Three People Injured in Accidental Shootings

In a Walmart in Ellenwood, Georgia, two people were injured by a bullet that ricocheted after 18-year-old Quentendou Arnold unintentionally fired his gun. Both people sustained graze wounds; one received treatment at the scene, the other declined. Arnold was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, obstruction and making false statements. Demonta Arnold, age 18, was also arrested and charged with obstruction. Officials continue to investigate.

And inside a county office building in Charleston, South Carolina, a security guard suffered minor injuries to his hand after he accidentally shot himself. He was apparently showing a co-worker how to assemble his gun while working at an entrance to the building. Though no one else was injured, the guard was fired and his supervisor is facing disciplinary actions. Police are assisting the sheriff’s office in the investigation.
