Teen Shot With Glock After Getting Haircut

After getting a haircut in his Richmond, Kentucky home from 18-year-old Elijah Long, a 16-year-old was accidentally shot by Long. 

Long had brought his Glock 19 pistol with him, and was showing the teen some of the firearm’s color customizations. He removed the 31-round extended magazine, but didn’t check the chamber claiming he “never keeps it loaded.” Long had the gun on his lap while he was showing it off, and according to police, he “had to have squeezed the trigger in some way,” sending a bullet into the victim’s right calf. The gun was so close to Long’s own leg that it left a burn mark and bullet hole in his shorts. The victim will need at least one surgery for his injuries.

Long was arrested and charged with assault.
