Staff Sergeant Injured After Service Weapon Discharges During Cleaning

In Port Royal, South Carolina, Staff Sergeant Steven Colson injured his hand and thigh, when his department-issued pistol discharged while he was cleaning it. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting is under investigation.
