Teen Shot and Killed With “Ghost Gun”
A 14-year-old boy was killed after a “ghost gun” discharged, striking the victim in the head in a home in Oroville, California. The victim was visiting another 14-year-old at the home, who was in possession of a loaded gun that unintentionally fired after being thrown. Police recovered the gun used, and found that its serial number was removed.The 14-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with manslaughter, negligent discharge of a firearm, and altering or removing identifying information from a firearm. An adult in the home, 20-year-old Allan Bone Jr., was also arrested and charged with possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of a firearm that did not bear a valid serial number.
