Felon Charged After Unintentionally Shooting Himself

In an apartment in Rancho Cucamonga, California, convicted felon Devauntae Lee Scroggins, age 28, unintentionally shot himself in the hand. Deputies discovered a handgun and blood splatter at the scene. Scroggins was taken to the hospital for treatment, then later arrested on multiple charges including willful discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and felon in possession of a firearm.
