Mike Atkinson of Syracuse, New York, 19, accidentally shot and killed himself while playing with a gun in front of a group of friends. “He just was not thinking and did what he did,” his brother said. “He was young and he was impressionable.” 

“He was able to bring a smile across everyone’s face in a room,” his brother added. “He was a goofball. He was loveable.”
