In Chicago, Illinois, a mail carrier was the innocent victim of a drive-by shooting. She was accidentally shot four times while delivering the mail and is in critical condition. She was struck in the legs, stomach and back of her head by shots fired from one of two cars traveling past at a high rate of speed. Police were clear that she was not the “intended target.”

“I just want to make it back home to my daughter I just want to make it back home the same way I left be able to do my job without anyone messing with me,” another mail carrier said. “Without being caught in gang crossfire or anything, just to be able to make it back home.”
