Four-year-old Struck by Stray Bullet From Next-door Neighbor
In West Sacramento, California, a four-year-old boy was injured when a shot that was fired from an adjacent apartment struck him in the leg. Identified as Roman by his mother, she said the family was spending the afternoon together, and that Roman and his three-year-old sister were playing with toys when he was shot. She added that he is autistic and has difficulty expressing his feelings. “Frightened, sad, and in tears, to just see your little one hurt and unable to tell you.”
The boy was quickly taken to the hospital for surgery, and is now recovering at home. Police located and arrested a suspect, as detectives continue to investigate.
