Two Injured in Gun Accidents Involving Young Children
A gun accidentally discharged in a home in Harrisburg, Arkansas, injuring a four-year-old child after the bullet ricocheted off a concrete surface. The child was hit by either bullet or concrete fragments, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There is a continuing investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.
And a man in Trotwood, Ohio, called 911 after his young daughter found a gun and accidentally shot him while he was sleeping. “My daughter got hold of a gun and shot me in the arm. I’m at the fire station on Third Street.” He had driven himself there and received emergency treatment before being taken to the hospital for additional care. The shooting is under investigation.
