California Child Injury (18 and Under) Ongoing Investigation

TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2020

A 14-year old boy in Modesto California was airlifted to the hospital after a gun accident in his home. The boy was conscious and alert and the wound is not considered life threatening.  No information was available on the circumstances of the accident at the time of the report.

 According to Everytown for Gun Safety, the reporter notes, there have been at least 140 unintentional shootings by children in 2020 as of today, resulting in 50 deaths and 95 injuries.  Not all of those incidents have been reported here.
