Man Injures Hand Removing Gun From Safe

In Waldorf, Maryland, a 50-year-old man accidentally shot himself retrieving a gun from a safe. Though conscious and alert, he seriously injured his wrist/hand, and was airlifted to a hospital for specialized treatment. Police continue to investigate the shooting.
