Accidental Discharge Injures One Person

The accidental discharge of a firearm in a Naples, Florida residence, injured one person who was taken to the hospital for treatment. The shooting remains under investigation.

Several types of common American gun accidents were on display today in cities across the country.

In Memphis, Tennessee, a man died in an apparent shooting range accident.

Two children found loaded guns at home and shot themselves. Again, in Memphis, Tennessee, a toddler is in critical condition after a self-inflicted shooting. Memphis officials say that there have been at least 30 children treated for gunshot wounds already this year. On the same day, in Dallas, Texas, a two-year old shot himself in the leg. Police are investigating how he got a gun.

In Spokane, Washington, a man was standing outdoors when he was accidentally shot by a neighbor engaged in target practice. There is an ongoing investigation.

And in Nashua, New Hampshire, a gun accidently discharged in a vehicle. Two men were injured and taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
