Toddler and Turkey Hunter Injured in Accidental Shootings

A 2-year-old in Cincinnati, Ohio, found a loaded gun on a windowsill and shot himself in the leg. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The stolen gun belonged to his mother’s boyfriend who is a convicted felon. The mother was charged with child endangering, and the boyfriend was charged with having weapons under disability and receiving stolen property.

And Wayne Williamson Jr., was accidentally shot while turkey hunting in the woods in Genoa, West Virginia. He was shot once, but the pellets caused multiple injuries to his neck, right arm, and chest. He celebrated his 25th birthday while recovering in the hospital. Another hunter, 63-year-old Steven Shelton Jackson, faces multiple charges including negligently shooting a human while hunting, hunting without a license, and failure to render aid.
