Boy and Man Injured After Unintentionally Shooting Themselves

An 8-year-old boy found an unsecured gun in his apartment in Warren, Michigan, and shot himself in the face. He was taken the hospital in critical condition. His parents were at home at the time of the shooting, but no other details have been reported.

And a man pulled into an elementary school parking lot in West Chester, Ohio, to report that he was shot in the leg. The school was placed briefly on lockdown, though it was later determined that he had accidentally shot himself. He is being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
