In Linden, Texas, a store employee was accidentally shot and killed while helping a customer load their vehicle.  According to the report, Larry Lawrence, an employee of Crump Food Stores, placed a bag in the rear of a customer’s car near a rifle. When he went to pet the customer’s dog, a .22 caliber rifle, located in the back seat, discharged, and struck him in the chest.  Emergency medical workers treating Lawrence took him to a helipad where he passed away.

A Fulton County, Georgia investigator for the District Attorney’s office accidentally shot herself in the leg inside a bathroom at a local courthouse. “It was an accidental shooting, so there is no intent to commit a crime. Unfortunately for the investigator, she was the one who was shot,” a former prosecutor said.

And a Milwaukee, Wisconsin man was shot in the neck by a friend while hunting squirrels.  The man and a party of hunters had dispersed.  One of the hunters thought he saw a squirrel through some bushes and fired the shot that struck his friend.  The injured hunter is expected to survive.
