One Dead, Three Injured in Four Unintentional Shootings

Kelsey Moore died from an accidental shooting in a vehicle in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Few details have been reported but the alleged shooter is in custody as the investigation continues.

A two-year-old was napping in bed with his mother in Burlington, North Carolina. While she was sleeping, he found an unsecured gun and shot himself. The toddler’s injuries are not life-threatening. His mother, Stephanie Ball, has been charged with failure to secure a firearm and contributing to the neglect of a minor.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, a retired police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg inside a hotel near the Las Vegas strip. Few details have been reported as police investigate.

And in Youngstown, Ohio, a man’s girlfriend unintentionally shot him thinking he was an intruder when he returned to her home at about 3 a.m. He is in stable condition and no charges have been filed as police continue to investigate.
