Six-year-old is Shot and Killed by Nine-year-old with Unsecured Gun

A nine-year-old got a hold of a loaded gun inside a home in Jacksonville, Florida, and unintentionally shot a six-year-old in the head, killing them. An adult was in the home with the children during the shooting, but authorities could not disclose how they are all related to each other under Florida’s victim privacy protections. It’s unclear who owned the gun, or where the nine-year-old found it. The investigation is ongoing.
