The Harris County, Texas sheriff announced that a Humble, Texas man was cleaning his shotgun when it discharged inside his apartment. Another man was struck and killed.  It is unclear whether charges will be filed.

In Andrews, South Carolina, a man fired a pistol when he heard someone entering his home through a window. A 15-year old resident of the home was struck in the leg, but is expected to survive.
