Savannah Holmes, an Ankeny, Iowa four-year old shot herself in the face with her father’s gun.  She later died at the hospital. Savannah got out of her chair, picked up the gun and accidentally fired it at herself.  No charges have so far been filed.

Kyhara Tay, a New York City 11-year old was an innocent bystander when a man on a moped began firing at another man.  Kyhara, who was standing on the next block, was shot in the stomach by a stray bullet. She too died at the hospital. “The politicians are talking, but they’re not doing anything,” said a local resident. “You have to take actions. I want justice for her even though I didn’t know her. It could be anyone. It could be me, it could be my children, my grandchildren, you, your children….  It hurts even more when they kill a child.”

A five-year old was also struck by a stray bullet in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She is in critical condition.  The girl was in an apartment when a gun battle started outside.
