Child Injury (18 and Under) Child Under 18 (as Shooter) Oklahoma Ongoing Investigation South Carolina

 Three children were injured today in two separate gun accidents.

A nine-year old in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was injured when a  gun accidentally discharged.  According to the report, a group of children were playing with the gun in an apartment when it discharged and struck the child in the hip.  The report does not provide the condition of the child or state how the children got possession of the gun.

The other incident occurred in Greenville, South Carolina where two children were struck while their family was engaged in target practice.  Their age and condition was not specified, other than that the children were taken to the hospital.  Neighbors reported that they frequently heard gunshots from the property where the accident occurred.
