In Jackson, Mississippi, police are investigating the accidental shooting death of Jeffrey Sutton II,  the 15-year old son of Jackson’s fire chief. He was shot in the lower extremities.  No other details are available at this time.  According to the report, Sutton was the second child of a Jackson firefighter to die of a gunshot wound this week. Kennedy Wilson, 23, was traveling in a vehicle when she was shot on Sunday night.

In Monroe, Louisiana, Jamonese Hutson, age 25, was accidentally shot in the neck and killed.  Her friend, Dashone Thomas, was showing her a newly purchased gun when it went off.  Thomas was charged with negligent homicide.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, a 7-year old and his father were accidentally shot and injured.  A two-year old was jumping on a bed where there was a gun when it went off. Both father and son are expected to survive.

 In Columbus, Ohio, teenagers were playing with a gun outside an elementary school when it went off.  A 15-year old was shot in the abdomen, but is in stable condition at the hospital and is expected to survive.
