One child was killed and three were injured in accidental shootings today.  In each case, reports of the incident contain minimal details.

In Dallas, Texas, 17-year old Chadrick Good was shot and killed by a 16-year old who accidentally fired a gun while sitting behind Good in a vehicle.  The 16-year old has been charged with manslaughter. According to the report, the 16-year old “had an accidental discharge.”

In St. Louis, Missouri, a five-year old shot himself in the hand.  It is unclear how he got hold of the gun.  The St. Louis Post-Dispatch article lists reports demonstrating that at least 61 children in the St. Louis area have been injured or killed by gunfire already this year. 

A Memphis, Tennessee 6-year old is in critical condition with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The report states that it is unclear how the child got hold of a gun or “what led to the shooting.”

Finally, in Atlanta, Georgia, a 16-year old was grazed by a bullet in an apparent accidental shooting.  The article does not provide any details of the incident, which is still being investigated.
