In an incident caught on video and later broadcast on local television, a Newbury, Ohio man accidentally shot himself in the face with a pistol at a local gun range.  His injuries apparently were not life threatening.

 In Crowley, Louisiana two teenagers were handling a gun when it discharged.  One of them was shot in the head and is in critical condition at the hospital. The other teen has been charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile, possession of stolen property and negligent injury.
