In Elkhart, Indiana, a five-year old boy found a loaded gun in his family’s mobile home and shot himself in the chest. Police have confirmed that the shooting was accidental.  The boy went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, although after surgery, he is expected to survive.

“My child. That’s what ran through my mind,” a neighbor said. “What if that was my child? And I’m praying for the family, I’m praying for all the children. There’s a lot going on with the kids and it just hurts my heart.”
