Girl Accidentally Shot by Brother Before He Takes His Own Life

In his Stockbridge, Georgia home, 14-year-old Seven Shirley, the nephew of a local rapper, accidentally shot his 12-year-old sister Lyric in the neck, and then turned the gun on himself. When officers arrived, they found the injured girl and the boy who “showed no signs of life.” The girl was taken to the hospital, and has since had several surgeries. It is unclear when she will be released. 

The grieving family doesn’t know how the boy got the gun. Seven’s grandmother raised him since he was 11 months old. “We don’t know. We don’t know, she said, “Something needs to be done about that person who sold that gun because if he would have never bought that gun, this would have never happened.”
