Boy Shoots Himself With Glock and Man Shoots Himself in Vehicle

A seven-year-old boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries after shooting himself with an unsecured Glock V17 he found in an apartment in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was treated at the hospital and released. The investigation is ongoing; it appears a family member may be a suspect, and it is unclear whether any charges will be filed.

And a 28-year-old man accidentally shot himself inside his parked vehicle at the beach in Pacifica, California. He was treated at the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. Police recovered a semi-automatic pistol at the scene. The man was not arrested, but police will present a case to the district attorney’s office to consider charging him for carrying a loaded firearm, and failure to register an out of state firearm.
