Man Shot and Killed in a Car

A man was accidentally shot and killed in a car in Port Orchard, Washington.

Three men were sitting in the car listening to music and smoking marijuana. Lucas B. Johnson, age 21, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, pulled out a gun while “fake arguing” with another man in the backseat when the gun fired. According to the incident report, the man in the backseat was struck and grabbed his chest with “a shocked look.” Johnson told police that he had removed the magazine and thought the gun was unloaded. The third man said that Johnson pointed the gun at them several times “always in a joking way.” The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and Johnson was detained. He has been charged with first-degree manslaughter.
