Three Juveniles and Police Chief Injured in Separate Unintentional Shootings

In Savannah, Georgia, a 9-year-old boy accidentally shot himself. Few details have been reported, but police say the boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A juvenile in Nashville, Tennessee, was accidentally shot through the arm and taken to the hospital for treatment. The family told police where they got rid of the gun, but police were unable to locate it.

According to police, a 16-year-old in San Antonio, Texas, was likely playing with a gun when he accidentally “blew off part of his hand.” His injuries were not life-threatening. It is not known who owned the gun or how the teen got it, as police continue to investigate.

And at a firing range in St. Martinville, Louisiana, Police Chief Albert “Buz” LeBlanc accidentally shot himself in the leg during his annual qualification. He was treated at the hospital and released.
