16-year-old Girl is Innocent Bystander Caught in Gang-Related Gunfight

A 16-year-old girl was struck in the leg by a stray bullet while walking home from school in Brooklyn, New York. According to authorities, the teenager was an innocent bystander who got caught in a gunfight between two groups of children. She is reportedly in stable condition. Police suspect the incident to be gang-related, and have apprehended an individual who was in possession of a firearm they believe was used in the crime. So far, no charges have been filed.
