An Accidental Shooting Kills One Boy and Injures Another, and Man is Caught in Crossfire While Bicycling

An accidental shooting in Lutherville, Arkansas, killed a 9-year-old boy and wounded a 7-year-old. Both boys were taken to the hospital; the 9-year-old succumbed to his injuries, and the 7-year-old was treated and released. Several county and state agencies are investigating the incident and it doesn’t appear that any charges will be filed. No other information will be released, such as who fired the gun, until the investigation is completed.

A 60-year-old man in Chicago, Illinois, was shot and wounded while he was riding a bicycle. An unknown suspect was walking down the street, and fired shots toward another person, when the 60-year-old got caught in the crossfire. He was shot in the left arm and was taken to the hospital in good condition. Detectives are investigating.
