Gas Station Employee Caught in Crossfire; Probation Officer Involved in Accidental Discharge that Injures 4-year-old

An argument in a gas station parking lot in Fort Worth, Texas, escalated into a shooting. At least one round went through the window of the store, striking an employee. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The individuals participating in the shooting fled the scene.

In another incident reported today, a 4-year-old in Santa Clarita, California, was shot in a car and brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his finger. An off-duty L.A. County Probation Department officer was involved in the accidental discharge. No charges have been filed, but the incident is under investigation by both the sheriff’s department and the L.A. County Probation department.
