Man Unintentionally Killed Outside Son’s Store in New York City and 13-year-old Wounded in Accidental Shooting

Reda Girgis, 66, was fatally shot in the head during a drive-by shooting in Manhattan, New York. He was not the intended victim and was taking a phone call outside his son’s store when he was gunned down. Police believe the shooting is gang related and surveillance video provided views of the fleeing vehicle as well as the men who may have been the intended targets. Police continue to search for the suspect.

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a 13-year-old was accidentally shot and taken to the hospital with a serious but non-life-threatening injury. Few details are reported and the case is under investigation.
