Six-year-old Shot by Older Brother

Lanett, Alabama police are investigating after a 6-year-old was shot in the stomach by an older sibling resulting in serious injuries.  The child was airlifted to a trauma center.

According to the report, the child’s adolescent brother had gained control of an unsecured firearm in the residence and fired it.  The children’s mother was taken into custody for reckless endangerment.
