Six-year-old Dies in Gun Accident

In Raceland, Louisiana, six-year-old Davonta “D.J.” Michel Jr., is dead after playing with a handgun, according to the Sheriff’s Office.  Investigators say the child and his brother found a loaded handgun in one of the bedrooms at their home and were playing with it when a round fired and struck D.J.  There is an ongoing investigation.
