Two People Killed When Others Try to Clear their Guns

A 29-year-old Cleveland, Ohio woman killed her husband today while trying to “clear” a weapon, presumably to remove a round in the chamber. The victim, Benjamin Irizarry, age 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.  There is an ongoing investigation.

And in Nashville, Tennessee, Linda Williams, 61 was shot and killed inside her home  when a bullet passed from outside through her bathroom window. Her neighbor, Montez Dennis, age 40,  was caught on surveillance video standing outside with a gun that discharged. According to Dennis, he was attempting to clear a jam when the gun fired. He was arrested and charged with criminal homicide.
