In Chicago, Illinois, a 50-year-old man sitting in his car in a local park was struck by a stray bullet and killed.  He was an innocent bystander to a nearby disturbance according to the report. No one is in custody in connection with the shooting.

In LaGrange, Georgia, a 15-year-old girl was struck in the hand during an argument over a gun with a 12-year-old boy who had stolen the gun earlier in the day from a parked vehicle.  The 12-year-old was charged with “entering auto”, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm under 18.  Police reminded the public to lock their doors and to remove any valuable items, including firearms, when exiting a vehicle.
