  • In Lewiston, Pennsylvania, 21-year old Harrison Harlacker was arrested after he accidentally shot a friend outside a local residence while moving a gun from his jacket pocket to his pants pocket. •  In Louisville, Kentucky a two-year old was taken to the hospital with self-inflicted gunshot injuries.  He is expected to survive and his family is cooperating in the investigation. “We need to make sure that we’re smart in the way that we are keeping our firearms inside the homes,” a police official said. “That we’re keeping them locked up, ammunition is not stored in the same location as the firearm, and that it’s definitely out of reach of any child that could be inside the home.”
  •  Finally, in Florence, County, South Carolina, one of two men engaged in shooting at each other instead accidentally shot and killed Zion Burgess, age 11.  The two men, Montarrio Graham and Crandell Burgess, were both arrested but have been released on bond.  Crandell Burgess is charged with voluntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Graham is charged with stalking, trespassing, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.  Zion’s relationship to Crandell Burgess is unclear.
