Arnijae Stroud, a 21-year old Roswell, Georgia father was arrested today after he accidentally shot and injured his two-year old son.  Stroud was “manipulating” a gun in his bedroom when it fired. The child is in stable condition at the hospital.

The local police chief said he was proud of the team of first responders “who worked seamlessly to save the life of this young boy. This was a terrible but entirely preventable accident, and serves as a stark reminder of the need for extreme care and responsibility in the handling of firearms.”

Stroud was charged with “child cruelty and reckless conduct.”
