Two people, including a one-year old baby, were injured in gun accidents after rounds passed through apartment walls.

 A one-year old Columbus, Ohio girl was struck by a bullet while she was sleeping between her parents. She was struck in the backside and is in stable condition at the hospital.  The round, which was fired from outdoors, had passed through a wall and a mattress before it struck her.

In Eugene, Oregon, a woman was struck by a round fired by her neighbor after it passed through their common wall.  The man, Bryan Couch, age 47, was arrested and charged with assault.  According to the report, he had been firing the gun intentionally, although apparently without intention to strike his neighbor.  The woman’s injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.
