For at least the third year in a row, police have linked at least one random death on New Year’s Eve to celebratory gunfire.  Among this year’s incidents is one that occurred in Durham, North Carolina.  A witness says that he saw two women pull up in a car when one of them fell to the ground.”

 “I just thought the lady was sick,” the witness said. Durham Police officers arrived on scene and found the woman lying in a driveway unconscious. She died from gunshot injuries at the hospital. “The bullet had come from out of the sky, it didn’t come from around here,” the witness said.
