Lehemiah Simon, age 7, of Jeanerette, Louisiana, was accidentally shot in the head and killed by a 15-year old cousin today.  He was pronounced dead after being airlifted to the hospital.

“Full of hugs. Full of Love. Just as humble as he could be for a seven-year-old,” remembered Minister Carnell Wiles who is Lehemiah’s grandfather.  “I kind of called him the philosopher. He’d probably say, ‘Poppa, look we need to get together as a family and pray.’”

The 15-year old apparently found the gun while he and Lehemiah were sitting together in a car. Wiles said the young teen is shaken by the accidental shooting and will be getting therapy.
