Adult Death Child Death (18 and Under) Iowa Missouri

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2021

Nathan Sharpnack, age 37, was accidentally killed while hunting in Marion County, Iowa.  He and a large group of hunters were engaged in a deer drive when he was shot in the torso.  There is an ongoing investigation and no other details are yet available.

Also today, Jordan Griffey of Clark County, Missouri, accidentally shot himself in the shoulder while hunting alone in a remote area.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Jordan was a freshman at Clark County, High School. The exact circumstances of his accident are, of course, unknown.

These were at least the second and third fatal hunting accidents in less than a week.
