Bystanders were injured in three shootings today.
In Chicago, Illinois, a one-year old was shot in the arm while sitting in a car outside a Walgreens store. Two men sitting in another car were also shot. “This is so sad. This s— has to stop, but nobody is doing anything,” said a woman who was unable to enter the drug store to pick up her medicine. “We have to come together as a community. We have to help each other, look out for each other.”
In Skokie, Illinois, a man sitting in his car was shot in the arm as an innocent victim of a nearby altercation. “The offenders were not at the scene when the police arrived. “
And in Beltsville, Maryland a 14-year old playing video games in his room was shot by a bullet that passed through his apartment wall from the outside. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police found shell casings in a parking lot about 200 yards away from the boy’s home.
