A hunter looking for turkey accidentally shot a woman today in Leeds, Maine “at the end of Walton Way.”  It is unclear if hunting was legal in that area.

The hunter remained at the scene to provide first aid until emergency personnel arrived and the woman is in stable condition at the hospital.  There is an ongoing investigation.
