A three-year old and a ten-year old died in gun accidents on opposite sides of the country today when they found loaded guns in their homes.

In Fresno, California, 3-year old Bryson Vang found his father’s loaded gun and shot and killed himself. His parents and siblings were home at the time.  The gun was properly registered and no charges will be filed.

The other accident occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where an unidentified 10-year old found a gun.  He was home alone with his 8-year old sister at the time.  “Supposedly there was a gun inside a cabinet that the children located and, at some point, the child discharged the weapon into his own head,” a Philadelphia Police Captain said. “We’re looking into how the gun got on location and who the owner of the gun is.”

“We as a society got to get it together, because our young children should not be having to go through this,” said a neighbor.
