For the second day in a row, a man was killed in a range accident.  In today’s incident, an unidentified 67-year old NRA-certified range officer was killed during a shooting competition in Penfield, New York.  The range officer “was serving as a safety officer in a United States Practical Shooting Association competition and was struck with an accidental discharge from a competitor’s firearm.”

“Since the League’s formation in 1925, safety has always been our most important priority,” said the President of the Genessee Conservation League’s Board. “This is an extremely unfortunate accident and we are grieving the loss of a devoted member and friend.”
