Three children under ten-years old were shot by accident in separate incidents today.

Two of the incidents occurred in connection with drive-by shootings in Mississippi.  In the first, in Roxie Mississippi, six-year old Robert London was killed when someone fired into his home for unknown reasons.  He was hit in the head.  “They went by and shot into a house,” the Sheriff said. “And there was a 6-year-old child that was hit and [he] died at the hospital.”

In Jackson Mississippi, a two-year old girl was shot and wounded when multiple bullets were fired from a black SUV.  The child was playing in the yard of her home at the time.  “”Our hearts and prayers go out and up for the family of the 2-year-old in critical condition. We all pray for a speedy and healthy recovery,” the City Counsel President said after the incident.

In Detroit, Michigan, a nine-year old found a gun in her home and shot herself in the chest.   She is in stable condition at the hospital according to a report.
