In Indian Head, Maryland, police are investigating a gun accident in which a 12-year old boy was accidentally killed.  He and a 13-year old relative were playing with a gun in a bedroom when the gun “discharged.”    It is unclear how the boys came into possession of the gun.

“This is such a tragic situation and a very sad reminder that it is critically important for gun owners to ensure their firearms are always secured and out of reach of children. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families,” the Sheriff said in a statement.
