Adult Death Arizona Ongoing Investigation

MONDAY, JULY 27, 2020

In Arizona, state law prohibits anyone other than a law enforcement officer from carrying a gun on school grounds.  In Tucson today, 40-year old Noel Watts, a roofing contractor, accidentally shot himself in the leg with a handgun while working on the roof of Canyon Del Oro High School.  Police administered a tourniquet and transported him to the hospital where he later died.

The school was placed on lock down at the time of the incident although no students were present.  Police continue to investigate.
